ACCMTB World Championships Trip 2009

Please see attached the first edition of the itinerary for the World Championships Trip we are organising for early September this year. In case you didnt know, the World Championships are being held in Canberra at Mt Stromlo.
We have organised a full week of riding (including a ride at Stromlo!) at five different venues. These venues offer something for everyone, and some of them are iconic - Majura!
We will then of course spend the last two days at the WC's watching the XC, 4X, and DH. This promises to be an event everyone will love.
We have also planned some side activities such as Go Karting and Night DH. We will also plan on seeing some of the sites, however this will be tailor made depending on those that are attending and will be arranged later on.
Please have a look through the itinerary, this gives an idea of costing also. At current it looks to cost around $1575 (based on four people attending) for the whole week, inluding accommodation, transport, food and most entertainment. You will always be able to spend more though I imagine! If you have any comments or suggestions please let me know.
For the booking, we require that everyone gives in a deposit of $500 (for the tickets) by the end of April. If you could indicate at your earliest convenience whether you will be attending this will help us determine if the pricing needs to change, or if a different vehicle is required.
Also note that at this stage this is an 18+ event and is only open to club members (anyone can sign up!). If you fall outside these categories and want to come let us know.
Sign up for an awesome week and an experience you wont forget!
Cheers,
Sam

Ok guys, things are starting to get booked and organised, remember to get your annual leave in place, and get your deposit in (as well as club membership if applicable). I will be buying plane tickets right at the start of may. so dont leave it too late to start saving! We will be paying for accommodation, travel, vehicle hire, go karts. You just need to bring money for you share of fuel in the vehicle (estimated $100 max), food, drink and any activities you want to do outside this. Remember these fees depend on the number of people but at the moment the total cost has een budgeted around $1575 for the whole trip. And the amount you will have to pay us to book and pay for the previously mentioned is $870. That covers your plane ticket, accommodation, vehicle hire and 30minutes on the Go Karts. I cant stress enough that if more people come these costs will reduce, but if there are less people they will rise!
If youve got any more queries email or pm me.
Remember a whole week of ridng DH, with shuttles! every day a different track! Plsu night acivities tailored to the group.
See all your favourite World Cup racers up close and personal - cop Kovarik's roost on your face! Hold up stupid signs!

Hi guys, all systems go for Canberra trip, with four of us definite:
Isaac
Tim
Luke
Sam
Any of HTF'ers want to join on, now is the time!
We have two options - you give me the money for the tickets and then I buy all of ours at one time on my credit card. You can give me cash or direct deposit. Remember if the cost is different to $500, I pay you the difference back. Plus you HTF'ers have to join ACCMTB which is $20 extra.
Or I book those that want to do it the first way, tehn tell you the flight details and you book your own.
I would suggest getting me to do it all is best, as then we have one person in control of the whole lot, plus I can make sure we're all on the same flight etc.
I would like to have all the funds and be able to make the bookings this weekend, next weekend at the latest!
Cheers,
Sam

Im not gonna have the money in such a space of time for the flights.
So don't put me on the definite list, but when I do have the dough ill hit you up for flight details so I can try and get on it.

Whoops.
I just read your trip is 18+ due to itinerary. Which rules me out.
**** I hate my december birthday. There has never been an occasion where it has been advantageous.
I'll still do a solo trip though!
And sorry doug, due to being underage im not gonna be a very good party trip buddy.

Ah hello! You can drive a car but not drink! Still it's a shame neither of us are old enough to hire a car.

How old do you have to be to hire a car?
I have no qualms being a designated dave, but you can get fucked if you think ill sit in a car park waiting for you all night.

Public service announcement. For anyone who; a. is planning to go to this, b. hasn't booked yet, and c. didn't already know, you should book flights through
this site
to save lots of money.
This is good for your accommodation too
