Name a Trail Competition
« on: August 28, 2009, 11:12:35 AM »
The only prize to this competition is the Fact you may get to proudly name the New Downhill Track at the Toms Crossing venue in the Lane Poole reserve, simple as that.

Rules: There is only one.

1. You must have either of helped Peg the alignment, helped dig and rake out the trail, or were an entrant for its first race to able to have the right to name said trail.

Remember, don't be afraid to name this trail on its current status, because if anything ever changes on it, the name will always be part of Dwellingup Downhill folklore, and that's what makes great trails all the more memorable.

I'll leave this thread open for a few months for everyone to bang up names etc etc, you can also email them to pdmbc08(at)yahoo.com.au and in due time we will then go to a poll for the final name selection. I personally are not interested in any naming of it, I'm just satisfied with helping out establishing the Great Relationship DH riders now have with DEC in Lane Poole area and I am looking forward to a great future in the area.

Cheers Housey.

shit magnet....97% of teens would cry if they saw Robert Pattison (Edward Cullen from Twilight) standing on top of a sky scraper, about to jump. If you're one of the 3% who would sit there eating pop corn screaming "DO A FLIP!" then copy and paste this into your sig

The O.C, love it  :D

My contribution: Housey's.

There is a track named Wal's, I think we should have a track named Housey's, to give recognition to the amount of work the ole fella has put into downhill mountain biking in Dwellingup.

Wouldn't be fair to name it after me, plenty of other people past and present have done plenty for either a club or as a general member of the mtb community in Dwellingup. Seeing smiles on the faces of everyone racing or out there riding recreationally, young or old is the only thing I need from this sport.

Trails derserve funky and or cryptic names, DEC have also suggested you can name it after them if you all wish as well  ;) .

That pretty much sums it up.   ::)
Mountain Cycle: It's basically a bomb shelter with wheels, nothing short of a Chuck Norris round house kick can stop it.                                                     Or move it...
