Public Pump track, dirt jumps and singletrack next to a train station!

I've put this in the riding talk section, because not everyone reads the trail advocacy sections.

Want to be able take your bike on the train, get to a legal pump track, dirt jumps, skills loop and singletrack right next to a station? The Rockingham trails master plan has all of these things included in it to present to council. This will happen this Wednesday night, the 24th of February at the Rockingham council chambers (committee room 3) on Civic Boulevarde Rockingham at 5.45 pm. This will be a public meeting, and the more people that come along on the night to put their hand up to say that they want a facility like this, the more likely that it will happen. So bring yourself, your mates, your parents, random people from the street, and anyone else you can get to come to the meeting, because if no-one is there, there'll be no stuff to ride.

I'll be there representing WAMBA, as will Peel District Mountain Bike Club. Come along and bring your say with you.

Sorry but I can not make. No i'm not a local of Rocko but I have put my 2c worth in at the Peel meeting.

Fair enough, but I should clarify that it's not only Rockingham residents that should attend, anyone who thinks that they might like to use the facilities should come along.

Who's going to be given the contract to build the stuff. If its given to the council workers, its going to suck ass and be a waste of time.

Make sure You guys voice that we want it built properly.

There will be two meetings after this one specifically for the two most neglected trail types. MTB will be one of them. There is plenty of opportunity for making sure what we want is clearly stated.

Just say if you like the singletrack, or the dirt jumps or the pump track, or even just the idea of MTB facilities near a train station.
