South Australian group have some spots left in this European trip.
Same time as the the Tour de France.

They should make derailleur hangers in the shape of a bottle opener, everyone would carry a spare.

Can recommend the French & Swiss Alps, you can do biking tours through them if you want a steady pace and scenery but they are home to some world class DH trails and parks.
We went in 2006, it was awesome. Head to Morzine/Les Gets. If anyone ever fancys it i have info, trail maps etc...you may even see Fabian Barrell, its his stomping ground.

Nice shot brad.... looks like a shot taken from the summit of Mt Chery looking over to Les Gets, Mt Blanc and Flaine- a beautiful spot! This is just where we are heading!

Thanks to Wal for putting up the link to our trip! I should introduce myself, I run escapegoat and used to work over in the Alps as a MTB guide, so I organise this trip each year as an excuse to go back there and ride the trails. It is an awesome spot and the riding is amazing. There is plenty of info on our website about the trip and what is involved, but it is a 2 week trip that does coincide with the Tour De France too, which is going to be great to see again.

If anyone is interested we do still have a few spots left- this year we have riders coming from Qld, ACT and SA. Due to a recent cancellation due to pregnancy we are offering a 10% discount for the next person to sign up, so $3,150 for 2 weeks food, wine,  accommodation, guiding and transport- it works out about $225 a day, which is less than you usually pay for a hotel room in Europe!

Give me a yell if you have any questions! Also feel free to drop us a line if you are heading over to SA......

I can vouch for Escapegoat, Ian's one of the good guys. Would love to go on one of his tours one day.

I emailed them last year, with a view to riding Morocco or Switzerland.  They were really helpful - asked what bike I had and they recommended which trips would suit my ride.

Haven't got around to it yet but it's on the agenda.
