Special lube?
« on: March 05, 2010, 09:44:59 PM »
Last night I pulled out my rear shock to change the spring on my 2010 Demo 8. After cleaning the dirt/grease from the pin and spacers, I wondering if you need to use any special grease on these parts or will any type do? My guess is the grease is to stop the pin from seizing up and some metal on metal love.

Any help appreciated

Any good quality heavy duty weather resistant grease should do. You don't want something too light that will just run out of the sides when it gets warm.

I've got a tube of this Teflon stuff, it's pretty good, it wasn't too pricey either.

Any lithium based grease will be boon. Not too thin as above. Most grease is lithium based btw.
