Something Revolting!
« on: March 06, 2010, 07:33:01 PM »
Well, I was talked into buying an Evil Revolt, I parted out a Glory DH1 and changed a couple of parts around, blew my budget but I'm still smiling!

Basic Specs are:
Frame: Evil Revolt M , flipchips set up in the slack position, head angle on steep position. (will be playing around with this)
Fork: Boxxer Team
Shock: Fox RC4 w/ 300lb spring
Cranks: Saint 165mm, 38T Raceface chainring.
Bars: Sunline 745 Red Anodised
Stem: Holzfeller
Chainguide: MRP G2
Front wheel: Giant Hub on Equalizer rim
Rear Wheel: Hope Pro II laced to Mavic 721
Brakes: Avid Elixir R W/ 203mm rotors F+R
Shifter: X9
Rear Der. Mid Cage X9 (Would like short cage, ran out of money)
Seatpost: Giant
Seat: Tundra

Sorry I couldn't get some nicer pictures, but I thought I'd take some nicer ones out by the trails in her natural environment!
I can't give a ride report yet, will be taking her out tomorrow!

I hate you too, I wanted to get an Evil but couldn't afford it & got the Blindside instead. It's a thing of beauty.

Black is the appropriate colour, I don't think white should be allowed on an Evil. I like the look of the suspension on the website, interesting bike.

Thanks guys!
Haven't had a ride on her yet off road, but will be riding Dwelly tomorrow!

Originally I was planning on getting a small, and the new shipment was supposed to be white but it was delayed and I was technically in the medium size range, so I got this one instead. It feels a little smaller than my medium sunday in the cockpit area.

They should make derailleur hangers in the shape of a bottle opener, everyone would carry a spare.

Only joking, awesom steed you have there. Have you got the skill to match?
shit magnet....97% of teens would cry if they saw Robert Pattison (Edward Cullen from Twilight) standing on top of a sky scraper, about to jump. If you're one of the 3% who would sit there eating pop corn screaming "DO A FLIP!" then copy and paste this into your sig
