Stick with what you've got, you don't need much in the way of brakes for 4X or Dj especially. If you think you need more power get some better brake pads, maybe some of the ceramic ones from the discobrakes link on the front page.

nah its the factor of them starting to wear apart and all that, seals shitting themselves so i thought if i replace the parts i might have been better upgrading or replacing parts in the brakes. power is no worries,

FUNN Drop in's - $215 complete set including 7" rotors, caliper mounts to suit, fully bled master cylinder to caliper kit, extra set of brake pads, new caliper bolts and rotor bolts, bleed kit with bottle, hoses and nipples all packaged in a nice black box. Three colours: black/grey, black/white, black/orange.

Using them myself on my 4X rig at the mo and more than enough power. Come check them out at Taylors Bikeshop  ;)

I'd go the new shimano XT's. Mine feel so awsome and are so cheap to buy.

According to most reviews the new funn brakes felt like shit, alot rated even hayes as better feeling and power. Don't go their Dylan.
I'm just going to call him Crappy Chooky from now on.

Feel is completely personal. Just because someone doesn't like "feel" doesn't mean you wont. Mine "feel" great to me. Great enough in fact to be able to nose manual down Cockburns Gate on the front brake.

Jeez they must be shit.

No brawl mate  ;) you're even welcome to come and grab my bike to demo it for the day to see if you like them first.

All the best.

Frenchie as in Julian is back riding again?

Really you need a set of Hope mini's... hand selected by me for the purpose built 4X bike....

But in all fairness the old Juicy 3's (yep the ones that came OEM only) I had worked good for 4X and DJ work.
