It's called the South Shore, and it is going to be a public track, but it's not open yet.
Any idea when this might be open to the public? Or can these things take months & months

The track is as good as finished, but there are some issues with signage and final approval so far as I know. I'm going to go out on a limb and say more than a month, hopefully less than a year.

They should make derailleur hangers in the shape of a bottle opener, everyone would carry a spare.

I'd have to give it a go! Yes I will fall off and there will be blood and everyone can laugh.
At least there is somewhere that is building progressive trails unlike my local one's.

If the DEC is approving this kind of trail................. Does it mean we can get this style of trail in other areas?

So how did this get built before approval took place? Or was it known to DEC as a secret trail? ???

Actually, been there for a while but very secretly. Now they're working on the specifications to have it approved.
